Anything iconic actor Steve McQueen touched has become an incredibly valuable collectible today, especially the cars and motorcycles that he owned and drove. A confirmed gearhead obsessed with racing, McQueen’s passion led him to actually drive the famous Ford Mustang in the film Bullitt—a Mustang that set a new record value at auction earlier this year. McQueen’s possessions have been bought and sold countless times and his Jaguar XKSS even ended up in the Petersen Museum, so just about anything that can be verified as having once been his offers solid investment potential. Case in point now comes in the form of a recent Bring a Trailer listing featuring both a Steve McQueen-owned camper-converted Chevrolet pickup truck and a film-inspired Husqvarna dirt bike.

The truck was formerly listed for sale by Legendary Motor Cars of Ontario, Canada, and the same seller has now put it up for auction on BaT hoping to attract a bit more attention, no doubt. The pickup itself is a 1952 Chevrolet 3800 that McQueen bought in the late-1970s. The story goes that he saw the camper conversion and bought it from a farmer, later driving it to the airport with the Reverend Billy Graham on his final journey to Mexico to receive treatment for the cancer that would ultimately take his life.

The truck comes with a solid provenance documenting its ownership by the silver-screen legend, though the motorcycle being sold with it is an add-on that is probably worth less even than the documents that prove the truck’s history. The bike is a 1972 Husqvarna CR250 that has been customized with the film On Any Sunday in mind—perhaps a military bike a la The Great Escape would have been more in line with the Chevy’s green paint scheme. Regardless, bidding already sits at $14,000 with six days remaining in the auction.
