After announcing in June that its FourTrax Rincon is returning for the 2021 model year, Honda is extending another offer. They disclosed that four of its Talon offerings — Talon 1000R, Talon 1000X, Talon 1000X-4 and 1000X-4 FOX Live Valve – will return as 2021 models. For the upcoming 2021 model year, these four will be offered in updated colors. Let’s take a quick look at these side-by-side models from Honda.

The two-seat lineup for the Honda’s side-by-sides starts with the Talon 1000X, which grabbed awards in 2020. The Talon 1000X offers maneuverability, precision and the ability to perform in various conditions thanks to its suspension travel of 14.6 and 15.1 inches front and rear, respectively. The 2021 Talon 1000X is available in Metallic Orange/Metallic Gray color combination at a price of $19,999.

Meanwhile, the Talon 1000R offers greater bump absorption and high-speed tracking abilities. This is made possible by its front double-wishbone layout and rear 4 Link configuration. Its suspension travel is 3.1 inches and 5 inches (front/rear) greater than on the 1000X, as helped by Fox Podium Quick Switch 3 shocks. Finished in new Pearl White color, the 1000R is tagged at $20,999.

If you want to accommodate four occupants, then the 2021 Honda Talon 1000X-4 and Talon 1000X-4 FOX Live Valve are suitable choices. The Talon 1000X-4 has rear passengers inboard and seated higher compared than those on the front. It also employs the same Fox Podium Quick Switch 3 shocks as the 1000X. Wrapped in Metallic Gray, the Talon 1000X-4 is offered at $21,999

On the other hand, the Talon 1000X-4 FOX Live Valve flagship builds on the Talon 1000X-4 platform, with a couple of upgrades including a semi-active electronic suspension developed by Honda, Fox, and Bosch. This system could adjust all four shocks 16 times per second, for superb ride and handling, yet minimal body roll. Finished in Pearl White/Pearl Red combo, the Talon 1000X-4 FOX Live Valve has a price of $23,999.
