Aston Martin has been making waves recently by unveiling the brand’s future in the form of the new DBX SUV, while also celebrating its storied past, with the announcement that a limited run of continuation versions of the James Bond DB5 would be built, as well. Both those cars, though, remain expensive enough that the general public will be lucky to ever see one, much less own or drive one. But now, Aston Martin has unveiled a new DB5 at a price point that most people can afford: the only catch is that it’s a miniature, electric DB5 Junior built by The Little Car Company.

Following in the wake of Bugatti, which recently partnered with The Little Car Company to unveil the Bugatti Baby II as a fun modern take on the Boattail, Aston Martin will now be in the business of selling toys. Of course, when it comes to the world’s wealthiest gearheads, all cars are toys in the end, but the DB5 Junior takes things in a different direction.

According to Aston Martin’s press release, the little EV is approximately nine feet long and just over three feet wide, with a total weight just shy of 600 pounds. The electric drivetrain routes 6.7 horsepower (5 kilowatts) to the rear wheels, which allows for a top speed of 30 miles per hour, while a more powerful Vantage variant will provide 13.4 ponies or 10 kW.

Despite being a fun piece of historically relevant entertainment (not to mention marketing), the DB5 Junior features all kinds of authentic details like functional gauges from Smiths, including a fuel gauge converted to a battery meter and an oil temperature readout now keeping track of the electric motor’s temp.

The pedals are constructed from billet aluminum, while the car even features double-wishbone suspension with the same specs as the original car’s geometry. Four ventilated disc brakes round out the absurdity, as does a rally-style hand brake. Pricing starts at around $46,000 and up depending on currency rates.
