As the social media and marketing feud between Ford and Jeep heats up on an almost daily basis, off-roading enthusiasts have been left struggling to decide whether a Bronco will be better than a Wrangler or whether Raptor is worth more than a Gladiator. But as Ford takes Jeep to task by demonstrating the Bronco on the Rubicon Trail, Land Rover’s recently redesigned Defender has gone largely overlooked. And as reports emerge that Bronco pre-orders could face delays of up to 18 months, the situation becomes all the more hilarious because just about every single potential customer will also want to drop gobs of cash on their new toys as soon as they leave the dealer. And the aftermarket community has already begun promising Bronco add-ons, as proven by a German company called GEHOcab that has teased a carbon-fiber camper conversion that will be available on both Ford’s new Bronco and the new Defender.

GEHOcab’s products combine the miraculous lightweight strength of carbon fiber with a futuristic exterior and a well-thought-out interior. As seen in the company’s renderings, the body of both SUVs and pickups ranging from the Jeep Gladiator above to Mercedes-Benz’s iconic G-Wagen, plus the Wrangler, Bronco, and Volkswagen Amarok, Nissan Navara, and Toyota HZJ platforms can all be modified to accept the camper conversions, which range in scale depending on the vehicle being modified.

The Defender and Bronco both fit under GEHOcab’s “Robust SUV” category, which also includes the Wrangler and G-Wagen, making them perfect for the company’s smallest Fiete shell that measures 13 feet long. When bolted atop the futuristic Defender, the shell looks right at home, so the aggressive exterior of the Bronco will likely fit right in, as well.

Best of all, the claimed weight addition for the RV conversion is only 1,014 pounds, though for some extra dough, GEHOcab will also construct the interior amenities out of carbon to shave even more weight.
