10 Custom Muscle Cars We’d Blow Our Savings On | HotCars

Here at HotCars, we’re certified muscle car nuts, as you probably have guessed so far. We like writing about muscle machines and exploring their history, but we also like owning, driving, and occasionally racing them. That is why we are always on the lookout for cool deals, and we’ll never stop fantasizing about owning rare and super-fast American machines.

Modifying a muscle car, especially if it’s a classic, is hit-or-miss. It’s extremely easy to overstep and ruin a perfect car with tasteless mods, and even easier to taint it with a horrible paint job.

But, that being said, here are some of the coolest custom muscle cars we would gladly ruin our financial stability for. Whether they have monstrous engines and crazy body kits or light modifications, all of these rare muscle cars have been modified to perfection, and they are all undeniably fast and powerful, with loads of class and attitude.

Basically, our decision has been made. We are just waiting for enough money so we can drive one of those beauties home. Which one is your favorite?

10 Royal Bobcat GTO

Although it looks like the stock 1969 Pontiac GTO with a cool paint scheme, this Royal Bobcat GT is far from it. It was produced by legendary the Ace Wilson performance dealership and it featured highly-tuned 428 V8 which Pontiac never actually put in a 1969 model. Apart from much more power, Royal Bobcats had better handling, host of other go-fast equipment, and a very limited production run.

9 Roush Mustang Stage 3

One of the biggest names in the Mustang world is Jack Roush, and you know that anything with his name on it is worth money. In the case of the latest Mustang Stage 3, we were sold just by reading the spec sheet. Supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 750 hp and 670 lb-ft of torque is guaranteed to outrun any Hellcat-powered Challenger. And, not to forget, this Mustang retains the factory warranty.

8 Saleen S302 Black Label

Considering what the S302 Black Label brings to the table, the base price of $63,000 is not that high. First, it is built by Steve Saleen, a renewed racer and constructor. Second, it features an 800-hp engine, host of unique interior and exterior details, special suspension, brakes, and transmission. It is faster and more powerful than the 2020 Shelby GT500 and arguably looks better, too.

7 Hennessey Dodge Challenger Demon HPE1200

For those who think that an 840-hp Demon is underpowered, Hennessey has the solution – HPE1200 upgrade package. Although it does very little for outside appearance, it includes a bigger supercharger, host of other updates, and even a 1-year/12,000 mile warranty. The result – 1200 hp from a well-known Hemi engine and insane acceleration times.
